Pearson Phoenix To further extend their product lines, Pearson Phoenix introduced e1, a new centrally hosted and browser delivered education management system. Once developed, Pearson Phoenix and the development partner lacked the necessary resources and skills to cost-effectively support the application in this ASP environment. Pearson Phoenix instructed Cable & Wireless, in partnership with Smart421, to provide a full, end-to-end hosted service for the application and the IBM platform software - WebSphere Application Server v5.1 and DB2 Universal Database v8.2.
