Nissan's website suffered from frequent and lengthy outages even under minimal load. They had no access to site metrics and any system changes were lengthy. The manufacturer knew that they had a serious problem but their incumbent suppliers were all passing the buck.
Working closely with NTT Europe Online, Smart421 moved the system to a fully managed service. The transition process involved a detailed review of the source system software and architectural components to establish a functional software baseline.
