Microsoft Developer
Reporting To: Head of Delivery
Location: Ipswich base (UK wide on client sites)
Rate/Salary: £dependent upon experience
We are looking for an experienced Microsoft Developer, ideally with a Consultancy background, to play a key role on a range of high profile Microsoft projects with our blue chip client base. Ideally with MCPD/MCTS/MCSD qualifications to compliment your commercial experience, you will have extensive n-tier or SOA experience in a Web-forms, Win Form or Web Service Development environment using C#, VB.Net, ASP.Net v1.1 & 2.0 of the .NET framework, XML and SQL Server 2000 & 2005. With first class customer facing skills and a genuine passion for quality / professional delivery, you will be looking for a new challenge with a company that genuinely recognises and rewards its star performers.
Role and Responsibilities
The successful candidate will either be working on client sites or in our Ipswich development centre; this may be as an individual or as an integral part of a multi-skilled team.
Technical Experience
Essential
- Good hands-on coding skills in C#, VB.NET and ASP.Net coupled with a good knowledge of the .NET Framework v1.1 & 2.0
- Good experience with and knowledge of UML and Microsoft design patterns and Practices, Enterprise Application blocks, UML Component, Class, Sequence diagrams
- Involvement across the full project lifecycle (to successful deployment)
- Strong experience in SQL Server 2000/2005
- Other Microsoft technologies (including XML, WSE, FXCop).
Desirable
- Experience with Enterprise Application Integration technologies (particularly BizTalk Server 2006 R2, Microsoft Office Sharepoint Server 2007, .NET 3.0 WCF and Web Services, SOA approaches)
- Experience of leading a technical team
- Relational Databases experiences such as Oracle or DB2
- 3rd Party tools such as FXCop, NUnit, NCover, CruiseControl.
Qualifications
- MCTS.Net (or relevant MCP's)
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or similar
