Rob Finlay is Head of the Data Management Practice and is responsible for delivering across the Data Management services portfolio.

He was appointed to the Smart421 management team in October 2008, transferring to Smart421 from the professional services arm of the Kcom (formerly Affiniti) centre of excellence.

Rob defined and led the delivery of EMC Computer Systems’ first Storage Managed Service, ITIL, process and team management. He has also has delivered Strategic data management consultancy and project leadership in UK and Switzerland.

With over 24 years in Open Systems IT, including as UK Infrastructure Manager for DHL, General Manager and Head of Professional Services for Technica Storage Consultancy, Rob’s concrete technical background, team leadership and management skills ensure that customers’ needs are put first in every respect.
