David Jacobs David is an advisor to Smart421 in the use of technology to solve business issues for the Energy sector. David's career spans more than 30 years and covers a wide range of roles. Until recently, David was Head of Information Systems for National Power, which subsequently de-merged into International Power and Innogy (now part of RWE), and was responsible for its entire IS strategy, business alignment and service delivery. Prior to this, David controlled the Energy Management Centre, the trading heart of National Power, which interacted with the Electricity Pool in England and Wales. The Centre was responsible for around £3Billion worth of electricity trading annually.
