Smart421 acquired by Kingston Communications (Hull) Plc
It has been announced today that managed services and integration specialist
Smart421 has been acquired by Kingston Communications for a cash consideration
of £24.2 million.
Kingston Communications is a public company, listed on the London Stock Exchange
with a market capitalisation of £314.0 million. It is a UK-based organisation
that supplies integrated and converged communications services.
Smart421's specialist managed services and integration skills provide a good
complement to Kingston Communications' core product set and will provide
a wider solution portfolio and allow both organisations to broaden their
relationships with their top tier of corporate businesses.
As part of the acquisition, Smart421 will remain autonomous as a wholly owned
subsidiary within the Kingston Communications Group and retain its brand
name and office locations. Smart421's management team will remain intact
and Smart421 will continue to sell direct to customers but will also look
at opportunities within Kingston Communications' customer base.
