Smart421 launches SmartSAP to substantially reduce customer costs

SAP skills continue to command a premium in the UK market. Maintaining an in-house team with sufficient skills coverage to effectively cover SAP support requirements is expensive and resource intensive. Using an implementation partner to provide the required level of support can be expensive and may lead to service degradation.

Smart421 Ltd, the managed services and integration specialist, has therefore launched SmartSAP - a managed transactional support service for a range of SAP modules. SmartSAP is a blend of industry knowledge and technology skills and comprises of the tools needed to provide an effective level of SAP support at greatly reduced costs. Smart421's delivery and managed services are underpinned by well defined methodologies, ensuring efficient, effective and repeatable processes based on ITIL industry best practice.

Andy Budd, Smart421's Head of Managed Services, comments: "SmartSAP is an innovative support service that has proven to deliver cost savings of up to 50% on current SAP support costs. Launching the service means Smart421 can continue its strategy to delivery enhanced services and cost savings to a larger audience."

Leveraging cost effective offshore resources to generate substantial savings, SmartSAP is delivered in partnership with Tech Mahindra, a company with extensive SAP development and implementation partnerships in the UK, USA and India. Using its SmartShoring methodology for service delivery, Smart421 guarantees a smooth transition to a UK managed, blended onshore/offshore model, contained business risk and helps customers accelerate the ROI on their SAP investment.

This appointment further strengthens Smart421's position as a leading provider of specialist resources in the financial services sector.
