Smart421’s story to be featured in a new textbook on entrepreneurship
Ipswich, UK - 11 January 2010
Smart421, the systems integration and managed services specialists, announces today that a case study covering the story of Smart421 will appear in a new textbook due to be published in March 2010 by leading publisher, Cengage Learning.
The textbook will be entitled “Entrepreneurship” and edited by respected academics David Stokes, Nick Wilson and Martha Mador.
The case study on “Smart421: the start-up that never gave up” will support a chapter on the lifecycle of entrepreneurship. It will tell the story of how Smart421 founder director, Julian Harris, developed his own entrepreneurial activities from an early stage start-up in 1989 to a managed exit in 2006. The case study will be written by Steve Barnes, Lecturer in Business Management and Entrepreneurship at University Campus Suffolk.
Neil Miles, managing director of Smart421, said “We’re very grateful that the editors have chosen to include the story of Smart421 in this new textbook. It’s great to think that this will add to learning and encourage young undergraduates, postgraduates and seasoned business people to develop their entrepreneurial skills.”
