Smart421 CTO selected to speak at The Open Group Conference in Rome on 27 April
04 March 2010 - Ipswich, UK
Smart421, specialists in integration and managed services for business critical systems, announced today that Chief Technology Officer Mr Robin Meehan has been selected by The Open Group to deliver a presentation on “Producing metrics to measure strategy-execution alignment during ADM phase E” on 27 April 2010. This key presentation has been timed to coincide with the Enterprise Architecture Practitioners conference, to be held 26-30 April 2010 at the Sheraton Roma Hotel and Conference Centre, Rome, Italy.
The abstract of this presentation reads: CIOs need decision support tools to allow them to understand whether a potential portfolio of change projects will support or detract from the overarching corporate strategy. This presentation will describe a practical process based upon traceability modelling that derives concrete metrics of strategy-project portfolio alignment, allowing limited resources to be used optimally.
Neil Miles, managing director at Smart421 said, “Robin is a highly articulate CTO who communicates original thought with real enthusiasm to those inside and outside the IT industry. As an active Silver member of The Open Group, Smart421 demonstrates that enterprise architecture plays a critical role in business strategy through customer engagements for leading companies across several highly competitive industry sectors. We see time and again the value of recognised frameworks such as TOGAF that enable organisations to realise more effective business integration.”
